Scatman
wins flight
in club championship
Faces disciplinary
action from GolfPrick membership committee
The GolfPrick lovingly known as "Scatman",
fresh off a two-man member-member first flight victory with partner
Budreaux a few weeks past, shot a second-round 69 to win the First
Flight in
Templegusta's club championship this past weekend. After posting a
74 on Saturday, his two-day total of 143 bested the field by four shots
as first-round leader Tom Sanders (71) ballooned to a second-day 81.
Details of Scatman's sterling round have yet to
be reported.
However, Scatman's round of 69 may result in
disciplinary action from the GolfPrick membership committee. Even
though membership rules do not prohibit unusually low scores, the
committee has launched an investigation into allegations of "behavior
unbecoming of a GolfPrick." Membership "King", Big Boy, stated
that Scatman's continued membership was already under scrutiny for
"shooting too many rounds below 75."
"We are contemplating assessing an automatic
2-strokes-per-side adjustment to all of his scores in future GolfPrick
competitions," the "King" said in a statement. "The last guy we
had this kind of trouble with was forced to move to North Carolina.
It's just totally out of character for anyone in this organization."
We all still wish to congratulate Scatman on
his recent success but still hope that he breaks his driver or loses his
putter, or something, for Christ's sake.
